Year 2 Teacher

Here at Flourish Education, we are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher to join our team, working at a Primary school in the Low Hill area of Wolverhampton. This role is perfect for experienced Key Stage 1 Teachers who enjoy going that extra mile to help pupils in the most valuable times of their primary school experience.

The role:

This is a full-time teaching role, so you will be expected to plan lessons and engage in general teaching responsibilities for the academic year. Other responsibilities include:

• Marking assessments and providing feedback
• Managing the behaviour of pupils in the classroom and using effective behaviour management strategies
• Attend meetings at school and parents evenings
• Plan engaging lessons and differentiating for individual pupils according to their level of ability
• Work alongside other supporting staff in the classroom to ensure children are receiving additional support when needed and are engaging in lessons
• Liaise with staff, and reporting any concerns
• Follow school policies and procedures

To be considered for this Teaching role, you will need the following:

• Previous experience in teaching KS1 pupils
• Knowledge of Year 2 SATS, and effective invention plans
• An understanding of effective lesson and activity planning and delivery
• Ability to mark assessments in accordance with school policies and guidelines
• A qualified teacher status (QTS) – however ECTs are encouraged to apply if they have had similar experiences
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
• A minimum of 2 excellent school references

This Primary Role is based in Low Hill, in the Wolverhampton area which is easily commutable from Wednesfield, Newbridge, Tettenhall and Ashmore. Parking is available on-site via the staff car park, with public transport routes also near.
