Locum Social Worker - Locality Team - Croydon - £33 per hour - ongoing contract

Join our Locality Team in Croydon as a Locum Social Worker, earning an attractive rate of £33 per hour. This full-time position offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity on an ongoing contract basis. You will provide a professional social work service to residents, carers, and the local community, ensuring compliance with national legislation and local policies. Integrating closely with GP huddles, the Integrated Care Network, and other community partners, you'll be central to promoting independence, well-being, and safeguarding vulnerable adults.

What you will do:
- Deliver a robust social work service to residents, carers, and communities in Croydon, aligning with national standards and local guidelines.
- Operate within a skill-mixed social care team, working closely with various partners, including GP huddles and the Integrated Care Network.
- Empower residents by promoting their independence and social engagement, ensuring timely and appropriate service delivery.
- Manage a complex caseload, ensuring all assessments are Care Act compliant, resident-led, and demonstrate positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams across the division to develop innovative models for resilient service delivery.
- Focus on maximising rehabilitation and reablement, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and ensuring efficient hospital discharges.
- Uphold the Council’s diversity agenda, ensuring fairness and equality of access and outcomes for all.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
