Grounds Maintenance Operative

Pinnacle Group are looking for a dedicated Groundsman to ensure our outdoor spaces are well maintainted and visually appealing. You will be joining our Grounds Maintenance teams who are covering sites across the Castle Point area. Your role will be to maintain public gardens, grass verges, community fields and grassed areas along the public highways throughout the Castle Point area. You will need to be reliable, flexible, and capable of working independently. This will be a seasonal position which will start at the beginning March and ends at the end of September.

Hours for March will be 7.30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Hours from April onwards will be 6.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities will include:

The safe use of ride-on mowers, rotary mowers, strimmer’s, leaf blowers and other horticultural machines
Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, and pruning
Lawn maintenance and repairs
Bed preparation and planting
Hedge and shrub trimmingKeeping the borders, clear and free from debris and litter at all times

Key requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of one year.
Experience within a grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping setting.
Physically fit and able to work with heavy cleaning machinery.
