What you will do:
- Assess, plan, and develop specialised OT programmes for patients with complex neurological issues.
- Function autonomously within the integrated multi-professional Stroke ESD and Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team.
- Manage your own caseload, using specialist clinical reasoning to assess patients with complex needs.
- Identify patient needs, establish goals, and provide relevant therapeutic interventions.
- Provide adaptive equipment, rehabilitation programmes, and collaborate with colleagues for recommendations on adaptions.
- Coordinate with other services and agencies to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage patients and carers in decision-making processes.
- Allocate work to and provide mentorship for junior and non-registered staff.
- Supervise and support Band 5 OTs and Rehabilitation Assistants to maintain high standards of care.
- Prioritise referrals and allocate or redirect appropriately.
- Uphold exceptional care standards across the board.
