Social Worker - Assessment Team | Saint Austell, UK | £35.37 Hourly | Ongoing Opportunity (Full-time/Part-time)

What You Will Do:

Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough social work assessments to determine the needs of children and families.

Child in Need Plans: Develop, manage, and review child in need plans, ensuring effective and responsive interventions.

ICPC Progression: Progress cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) when appropriate, ensuring timely interventions.

Joint Investigations: Collaborate with other professionals on joint investigations to safeguard vulnerable children and families.

Signs of Safety Model: Implement the Signs of Safety model in practice to ensure a child-centred, strengths-based approach.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements:

Proven experience in assessment-based social work, particularly in child protection and child in need plans.

Familiarity with joint investigations and Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) training is preferred.

Strong knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety model implementation.

Driving licence and access to transport are necessary (Cornwall Council pool cars are available).

The role is initially for three months, with the possibility of extension.
