What you will do:

•  Implement ward-based medicines management duties in mental health specialist wards ensuring a seamless flow of essential services.
• Manage the supply and ordering of medicines for inpatient wards to guarantee that no patient is ever left without the pharmaceuticals they need.
• Provide medicines optimisation support to inpatient teams, including activities like obtaining admission patient history and conducting medicines reconciliation.
• Counsel patients on new medicines and at discharge to facilitate understanding and safe usage.
• Undertake additional duties as required operationally, which might include support for the dispensing of medicines. While an ACPT certification would be advantageous, it is not an essential requirement.
• Benefit from your experience of working in the NHS, which will be invaluable in fulfilling these responsibilities.
