The successful candidate will join the Long Itchington Wood Tunnel team, a key construction element of the client’s project. This tunnel is 1 mile long and involves both sprayed concrete lining (SCL) and secondary concrete lining. The project also includes cross passages and three internal caves primarily designed for emergency evacuations.Key Responsibilities: Ensure all health & safety measures are in place and adhered to during the construction of the tunnel, with a particular focus on tunnelling and concrete lining processes.Conduct regular site inspections to assess compliance with health & safety standards.Assist in the preparation and review of health & safety documentation including risk assessments and method statements.Liaise with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.Monitor and manage health & safety compliance, providing guidance and recommendations to the on-site team.Report and investigate any health & safety incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
