Job Title: Locum Social Worker - Children within Cared for Children
Location: Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester (UK)
Salary: £37 Hourly

We have an exciting and ongoing opportunity for an experienced social worker to join our cared for children team in a full-time locum role. You will be based at the heart of Manchester in the iconic Town Hall, Albert Square. As a social worker, your expertise will be invaluable in supporting children who are in care, whether that's at home with parents, with foster families, in residential settings, or living with relatives.

What you will do:

• Carry out comprehensive assessments and regularly review the history and plans for the children in care.
•  Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans to meet the individual needs of children.
• Engage and interact with children, ensuring their voices and experiences are heard and considered.
•  Support children placed in various settings, including at home, with foster carers, or in residential care.
• Collaborate with families, carers and other professionals to safeguard children effectively.
•  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to team discussions.
