In this role, you'll oversee the procurement of raw materials essential for production, working closely with multiple suppliers to ensure timely delivery to various manufacturing sites and meeting all purchasing requirements. Job Responsibilities: Manage a range of automotive commodities within a global supply base, including direct and indirect purchases.Identify and investigate potential alternative suppliers to reduce business risks.Evaluate bids, select and recommend suppliers, and negotiate pricing, delivery, quality, and service terms.Follow up on awards through to order completion.Negotiate and settle disputes with suppliers regarding rejections, losses, returns of materials, etc., when necessary.Achieve targeted year-on-year cost reductions.Review and process purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with requirements. Assist the accounting team in resolving invoice discrepancies.Lead purchasing activities for mass production parts and parts in development for projects.Serve as the purchasing interface between project engineering, purchasing, sales, and manufacturing.Report quarterly results to the Platform Manager on all project-related activities.
