Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – Outstanding Secondary School in Coventry – January 2025 Start

An Outstanding secondary school in Coventry is looking for a dedicated Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to start from January 2025. This full-time Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant role offers the chance to work closely with students across different year groups, supporting them in both small group and 1:1 settings.
Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant Role:
- A recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Previous experience working with students is beneficial, but not essential
- A passion for Mathematics and the ability to make complex concepts more accessible and engaging
- Capable of adapting resources and techniques to suit individual student needs
- Enthusiastic about supporting the teaching team with lesson planning and classroom activities
Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support to students in Mathematics, including 1:1 and small group sessions
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
- Help students develop problem-solving skills and build confidence in their mathematical abilities
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and tailor support where needed
- Encourage a positive and engaging learning environment where all students feel confident and supported
Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant Role Details:
- Full-time, term-time only (Monday to Friday)
- Competitive weekly salary of £475-£500
- Start date: January 2025
