Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – Outstanding Primary School in Birmingham – January 2025 Start

An Outstanding primary school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team in January 2025. This full-time Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children across key stages, supporting them in their learning and personal growth.

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant Role:

  • A recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Previous experience working with children, either through tutoring, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities, is desirable
  • A passion for education and helping children develop academically and socially
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to tailor support to meet individual needs

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to students in both 1:1 and small group settings
  • Assist teachers with planning and delivering lessons, ensuring students are engaged and actively learning
  • Support students with social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and self-confidence
  • Help create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and provide additional support where necessary

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant Role Details:

  • Full-time, term-time only (Monday to Friday)
  • Competitive weekly salary of £475-£500
  • Start date: January 2025, with the potential for an ongoing position
