We are currently seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Malvern, Worcestershire. The SEND Teaching Assistant will be working with children across the primary age range, supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviour. Responsibilities of this SEND Teaching Assistant role, include:
- Supporting children with SEND including ASD, ADHD, Autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
- Assisting class teachers with the delivery of the National Curriculum across Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Helping students to engage with learning and develop social and emotional skills.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to class teachers.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting.
- Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar.
- Ability to provide two excellent references from previous roles.
