Send Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant at an Ofsted-rated “Good” school in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This role is perfect for a committed TA with experience supporting students with special educational needs, looking to make a difference in a warm and supportive Primary School environment. You will be supporting students in Year 3 with SEND so experience with challenging behaviour is essential. This is a full time SEND Teaching Assistant role and is due to start in January and run up until the end of the academic year.

This SEND Teaching Assistant Job Role:

• Supporting the Class Teacher with delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Working with pupils in Key Stage 2 (KS2) to promote their learning and development.
• Providing one-to-one or group support to pupils with varying needs.
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson planning.
• Helping maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive and productive school day.
• Delivering interventions in the schools’ resource base.

Required Skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant  Role:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK Primary School.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare, teaching assistance, or equivalent.
• A solid understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Strong experience with Challenging behaviour

Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant with Flourish Education you will receive excellent benefits including:

• £85.02 to £95 per day, which equates to £16,578.90 to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.

This Teaching Assistant position is near Stratford-upon-Avon, which is easily commutable from Wellesbourne, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth, Banbury, Southam, Leamington Spa, Evesham, Alcester, Henley-in-Arden and Redditch. The area offers excellent transport links, and onsite parking is available at the schools.
