The RoleAs a Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound services, delivering exceptional patient care, and producing insightful diagnostic reports. You will work alongside an Ultrasound Healthcare Assistant and handle pre-booked patient appointments throughout the clinic each day.Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.Provide detailed diagnostic reports and collaborate with clinicians, requesting Radiologist reviews when needed.Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to Diagnostic Healthcare and Trust policies.Manage clinic sessions efficiently, working closely with Diagnostic Imaging Assistants to ensure a smooth patient experience.Contribute to the training of medical staff, including radiographers and other healthcare professionals.Actively engage in audits, clinical governance activities, and continuous professional development.Maintain personal and professional excellence in ultrasound practice and patient care. What We’re Looking For: A UK-recognised qualification (PG Cert/Diploma/MSc) in Medical Ultrasound with CASE Accreditation.HCPC registration and UK NHS experience are essential.Proficiency in scanning gynae, general medical, small parts, and DVTs. MSK scanning experience is desirable.Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage patient flow and complex cases.Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to adapt to different patient situations.
